She was searching for farm videos yesterday. She thought her cousin Daisy was on one. But I guess farmers and ranchers are to busy trying to make a living 18/7 to do videos. To busy feeding, watering, and taking care of their livestock. To busy planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting our nations food supply to do silly videos. To busy working , and hoping for a little bit better than break even.
Which only happens if there are no hail storms, tornadoes, floods, or droughts. How many businesses have to not only depended on getting paid what someone will give, and have no control over the price of their product, but any shift in political or world demand can change the hoped for price in a matter of minutes sending people that have worked their entire lives into bankruptcy loosing their family homes, their jobs, and many times their lives all on the whim of something that is happening a half a world away or because of Mother Nature.
However she did come across some animal rights videos, and was not only disgusted but very very angry. She was so upset at the way Mr Affleck and the other couple of videos grouped all farmers together, that she couldn’t give down her milk. They grouped the big conglomerate, commercial farmers with all of the honest land stewards, and the animal care takers. They did this without regard to peoples livelihood, or their integrity. Not like legitimate farmers have enough to worry about now they have to defend themselves yet again against uneducated people that have no idea of what a “Real Farm” is.
This is no different than racial profiling, or saying all actors slept their way to the top, or that all big business CEO’s and Boards are the same as the crooked ones like Enron.
Oh I forgot that these are the same people that are slurring our Country, our President and our Soldiers. These people have no conscience. What does irritate me is that they took this to the schools, to the children that look up to their star status, and abused that for their own personal agenda. “We cows are not always happy with what our Presidents both Republican and Democrat, both past and present do all the time.” Mavis said
However she feels that some of these people should be arrested for terrorism and treason against their country and it’s citizens. They are tearing our country apart, and if they would work as hard helping to create solutions as they do criticizing others I am sure we would be stronger instead of rapidly becoming one of the weaker Countries in the World.
Did they also mention to these children that the practices that were seen on that video are also disgusting, and unethical to 95% of the farmers in this country. Did they also mention that these people are not really farmers. That they have learned these practices out of books, and at college not handed down from their fathers, and grandfathers. Most of these people are pencil pushers and have never even fed an animal besides maybe a dog, and they should not even be able to own a dog.
Wow she is really ringing her tail now, I bet she doesn’t give a drop of milk tonight.
These cows make a lot of sense. I really think maybe we should nominate them for some type of Nobel Prize.

I haven’t posted here in quite sometime due to several things.
1. I was working in an area that had no cell service which meant I had no internet.
2. My husband became ill again with his heart.
So the cows agreed to let me out and take care of these things. I am wearing a manure bomb ankle bracelet that
is set to explode on Aug 1, if I don’t return to the Barn.
So as of August 1, 2007 you can again expect to me to be back telling you what the cows are thinking.
Pearl told me she has a surprise for us so I will be anxious until I find out what that is.
Well, Mavis finally let me out of the barn where she has kept me writing affirmations, and chanting them over and over.
I really thought it was pretty stupid at first. I was raised with the belief if you want something bad enough you figure out how to get it. All that mumbo jumbo self help guru gobbly-goop was not going to get you anything but laughed at.
I was mistaken. I still believe that if you want something bad enough you have to figure out how to get it, but it is important to have a clear idea of exactly what you want.
If you go to the bank for a loan you must have a cash flow, a repayment plan, and many other documents and things as well. You have planned what you are going to wear,say, and especially what you are going to do with the money if (I now say when) you get it.
You don’t go in saying you want some money. You don’t say I would like to borrow alot of money. You have a specific figure in mind.
Life is exactly the same.
You must plan exactly where you want to be. When you want to be there, and how you are going to get there. You must also plan to work for it, and above all watch out for the road signs, and take the opportunities that present themselves.
This the Cows told me was the exact reason I was sought out to kidnap. They told me that I was about to self-destruct, and that I was missing all of the signs that were pointing me the right way.
So here I am talking to myself and writing to myself. And that is not crazy ? This all is going to get me where I want to be. They assured me of this, and I am really starting to believe they are right.
How many of you have been brought up to believe that being rich was bad?
How many of you have been brought up to believe you might just as well wish for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow as expect to be rich.
I heard so many derogatory things about money and rich folks that I bought into the saying “Money isn’t everything.”
WRONG ” Money IS Everything”.
- How many divorces are caused by money problems?
- How many suicides go back to money problems?
- How many family divisions are because of money? Either defending one parent in a divorce, or Inheritance after a death.
These are especially prevalent in Farm and Ranch Families. Many Matriarchs and Patriarchs control the generations with threats about the will. When you are talking several million dollars for ammunition it can break families apart.
I was recently disinherited. It bothered me not. I could have used the money and the equity as I was going through a real rough patch. However I was not going to bow to the pressures and the amount of lying, and backstabbing that went along with it.
You are in control of your life and also the amount of money you have or do not have. We have to think different. Farmers and Ranchers need to learn that there is a Science to getting rich, and it is not just for business people in town.
That is what has hurt the family farm. Farmers and Ranchers do not believe in what they are doing. They don’t believe they will make money doing it. They don’t believe in the wealth that will come.

You have to believe that what you are doing will give you wealth. You must be grateful for not only what you have but what you will receive, and you must always , always be clear about what you want.
It is the law of attraction.

Yesterday I told you that Flossie had her tail in a knot.
Well let me go into more detail. She is concerned that all of the farmland and a way of life, not to mention the land that grows our food both human and bovine are disappearing at an alarming rate.
She has a right to be concerned.
Lets put this into perspective. We lose over 1,000,000 acres (One Million) of Farm and Ranch land every year in the US.
That converts down to = 2 acres per minute of Agricultural land is lost to development in the US

Wow no wonder Flossie is so upset. She may lose the very ground she is standing on in the blink of an eye.
In one area of Arizona where we recently worked, over 800 acres of prime farmland was sold for development. This is land that can grow 2 to 4 crops a year or yield up to 8 cuttings of hay.
Why? Well it is my assessment that developers are primarily lazy, and also that Environmentalists have created such headaches for them to develop the unproductive upland that it is simpler to develop farmland.
Also the power lines are right there. Most farmland is on a grid of County Roads that allows access without purchasing right of ways etc.
PEOPLE WAKE UP!!!!!
I knew there was a problem but Flossie really made me understand that it is bigger than just my views on the subject.
What will we eat when 10,000,000 more acres are taken away, by the year 2015.
How much will our food cost?
What will the quality of the food be since it will have to be over fertilized in poor soil that is left to farm?
How can we use bio fuels if we are taking away the land that grows the sources of renewable energy.
Where will we get the water to irrigate the land we do have? Since homes not only have taken the land but the water rights as well have gone to the cities.
There are few organizations that are addressing this problem. Even fewer that are doing something about saving it or helping farmers.
The biggest problem is money. Farmers and Ranchers work hard 365 days a year and suffer horrible losses at the hands of the weather, bugs, and fire. Why wouldn’t they want to take the money developers offer them for their land.
A Developer can offer 50 times more money for an acre of land than someone that plans on using the land for agriculture.
Agriculture does not cash flow. Look around and see how many banks serve agriculture today compared to 20 years ago. Why because agriculture is risky business, and the only business where you can not dictate the prices of what you make, but you have to take what the market gives you. If you have to sell early, or crops are not ready and you sell late you could be ruined.
Diesel prices and Labor prices have both doubled in the last 5 years.

Think about what you are paying today for these items. There has been a cost increase but it is at the retail level. Call a farmer in your area and ask them if they are receiving double the money they were 5 years ago.
It was announced this morning that Corn prices are expected to reach all time highs. This is due to the production of Ethanol.
Here is the question if we are taking 1,000,000 acres a year out of production, and Corn Prices are really high because of the Ethanol production. Farmers are going to grow Corn instead of other products and will be contracting it to the Ethanol producers .
What will the COWS EAT!!!!!!!!! Flossie is sure they will starve, or be sold because their owner will not be able to compete with the Ethanol people on price. If we had more acres of farmland we would be able to make sure there was enough for everyone.
We people will suffer too
Please give this some thought. It is really important.

Hi again.
I can’t write much right now but I will as soon as I can. Henry the rooster just came buy to sneak my message out, and I am not quite finished with it. However I will give you a couple of things to think about.
Flossie really has her tail in a knot this morning. She is pacing, and switching that tail like crazy. I assume it is like when a woman wiggles her leg you just know that all heck is about to break loose.
She is ranting on and on about the shortage of hay and grain crops, because of farmers selling their land to developers. Even though she admits if she was a farmer struggling she would do the same.
Mavis is kind of into positive thinking. She was meditating this morning. I thought wow good thing is is Monday morning and not Saturday night or the way she was all relaxed and swaying she would be a good candidate for Cow Tipping.
Bessie is the Bossy one and she likes really throwing her weight around. I don’t know how much she weighs but … it looks good on her. She is the environmentalist. She was talking about stewardship, and how hereditary farmers and ranchers are all about taking care of the land. And how they understand it .
Pearl is the quiet one. I am not sure what she is thinking. I know she is really concerned about the Border problems, and how to solve this problem and keep many farmers from going out of business. People do not understand the fine line most farmers, ranchers, and small business people walk to stay in business or not. She also wonders who will pick all the lettuce, and oranges, and peppers, and fruit that has to be picked by hand if we don’t have the migrant workers? Certainly not the kids of this generation. That would mean they would have to get up in the morning and do something physical.
That’s a little about my captors, I am watching them closely hoping to find their weakness besides alfalfa.
Well i can’t write more right now, but I told the girls that if they wrote their demands I would get them to people that really cared, and would listen.
Please listen …I do not want to get tail switch torture. I only have a suspicion of what that is and I don’t think that I will like it.

I was Kidnapped by 4 Cows
Right now they are holding me
at Pitch Fork Point
and making me write this ransom note.
Please Help ME!!!!!
They said their names were Flossie, Bessie, Mavis and
Pearl.
I suspect those are not their real names. They held me and
squirted milk in my face until I agreed to listen to their take
on where we Farmers and Ranchers are going wrong.
In this ransom letter I can only give you some of the in-
formation. They are sooo Bossy. (pardon the pun)
They are demanding that you follow along with this blog
and they will give you many insights on their view of what
is wrong with Agriculture, from a cow’s eye view.
